The Detroit (PCC) Postal Customer Council, Michigan 1 District, celebrated National PCC Day on September 22, 2023. Upon entry into the event, our guests were treated to continental breakfast and time to mingle.  Our Media Team prepared the slideshows that ran prior to event and during our lunch break of our own PCC photos of our year’s events and the slides of this year’s National PCC Winners. .   Detroit PCC has always been committed to bringing our members   the most innovative messaging to ensure they are kept aware of the best the Postal Service has to offer and how they will benefit from the information.

Our sessions: 2023-24 USPS Mailing Promotions presenting the various options available and offered tips on layering promos for best discounts presented by experts Roman Godlewski, USPS and Kevin Yost, TGI Direct, Inc.    It was a great prelude into our topic presentation; Insights on Integrating Generative A.I.  by Rick Ryan, Pitney Bowes Fellow.  This session impressed that AI is a tool to amplify human creativity and ingenuity and how to integrate it into their marketing plans.  Our guest speaker Eric Henry, VP, Retail and Delivery Operations, presented on status of the USPS emphasizing what the PMG’s 10-year plan is for the Postal Service, intriguing information for all which highlighted where we are heading into the coming years. Our vendors supported us with their own display tables and were introduced by our executive board.  Each vendor was given the opportunity to publicize their business and what their specialty is in the mail industry.

We celebrated Detroit PCC winning the Gold and Platinum Awards for 2023.  We received this award because we fulfilled the requirments in educational event planning and community particpation through the year.  We hope you will continue to support us and join us for our many innovative events.   www.detroitpcc.com
