WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service today launched its bidding website to accept proposals for entry to its valuable last-mile delivery network. More than 18,000 USPS destination delivery units (DDUs) and local processing centers (LPCs) nationwide are now accessible to a broader range of customers via the dedicated bid solicitation platform.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service will observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 19. All Post Office locations will be closed in recognition of the federal holiday. Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered that day, and regular mail delivery and retail services will resume on Tuesday, January 20.

Capac, MI — In accordance with 39 C.F.R. § 241.4, this is the United States Postal Service final decision with respect to the Postal Service’s proposal to relocate retail services from 102 W. Mill St., Capac, MI 48014 to a site located within two miles of the location. The Postal Service has initially identified 200 E. Hill St., Capac, MI 48014. If this location is not adequate or an agreement cannot be reached with its owner, the Postal Service will consider other sites.

WASHINGTON — Through large investments in new technology and new logistics planning and execution, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) significantly improved its delivery performance during this past holiday season. Mail items and packages were delivered within 2.5 days on average (16 billion in volume), compared to 2.8 days during the same period last year (Nov. 15 – Jan. 9).
